Cover Reveal: BRIDGEPORT HOLIDAY BRIDES

I am pleased to share with you the cover of my latest novella in the EASTERN SIERRA BRIDES 1884 series. Book five is titled Bridgeport Holiday Brides

Here is the book description:

Beth Dodd’s sister is now in California living with her on her homestead along Robinson Creek. There is no longer any reason to delay her marriage to Val Caldwell until the first of the year. Around Thanksgiving strikes the couple as a good time to tie the knot. But, when Val’s older half-brother and family show up for the wedding, things fall apart. The Sacramento lawyer does not think much of women owning their own land and running their own businesses. He doesn’t think much of his headstrong and determined future sister-in-law. Will Val give in to his brother’s persuasive arguments to wrest control of Beth’s holdings from her and absorb them into the Caldwell ranch? Will Beth call the wedding off to protect what she’s worked so hard to gain?

Beth’s younger sister, Hazel Jessup has only recently arrived in California, but she’s been there long enough to have fallen in love with Val’s younger brother, Luther Caldwell. When Val’s sister Barbara accidentally on purpose tells Beth Luther bought a ring for Hazel and plans to announce their engagement at Thanksgiving, will Beth, who has a stormy relationship with her future brother-in-law and who thinks her sister is too young to marry, thwart their budding romance? Will Hazel and Luther achieve their dream of marriage?

And now ~ Ta! Da! ~ Here is the beautiful cover:

I am particularly pleased that Livia at Prairie Rose Publications was able to use one of my photographs of the old Congregational Church that was in Bridgeport at the time this story took place. I took photos of this church in two seasons: once in the winter when the tree looked dead, dead, dead and once in August when the tree was leafed out thick and green. I managed to photo-shop out the powerline that draped across the front of the building. Livia was able to show my tree in beautiful fall color to go with the time of year this story takes place, which is from just before Thanksgiving through Christmas.

Bridgeport Holiday Brides will be available soon on Amazon. Until then, be sure to read the first four books in the series. You may find the links on my Amazon Author Page by clicking HERE.
