            Garland felt himself relax. He allowed a smile on his face. “I’m happy to know what we discussed was helpful.”

            “You’ve a grand smile, Garland. You need be smiling more often.”

            A feeling of confusion swept over Garland. I should smile more often? And reinforce people’s opinions I’m a babbling idiot? However, this was Kate telling him he should smile because his smile was a good thing. “I’ll work at it.”
