Joshua's Bride
Land Run Mail Order Brides, Book 1
by Zina Abbott
“You still writing to that gal in Iowa?” Harland pursed his lips as he studied Joshua. “I know awhile back you said you were looking for a wife, as if Wichita doesn’t have enough women.” He shook his head. “Considering how the economy is going, are you still planning on getting married?”
Joshua sucked in a breath as he ran his fingers through medium brown hair in need of a haircut. His gaze shifted from one side of Harland to the other before focusing on the man. “I’d like to. It’s been my goal for several years now, to find a nice woman who would be happy married to a farmer and part-time farrier. That’s why I considered looking for land last year. I thought, once I had my farm, I would offer marriage. We both know how that worked out. I’d still like to send for her. With the way the economy is going, however, I don’t know.”
